I am grateful for this wonderful reunion website! Through it, I have reconnected with my most cherished childhood friend.

My career has taken many twists and turns and I have tried to stay true to doing those things that I love the most. After playing tennis for the University of Arizona and graduating with a B.S. in Physical Education, I moved to Los Angeles, California where I taught Physical Education for eight years. As soon as I received my Master’s Degree in Physical Education, and to my surprise, I immediately left teaching to embark upon a 30+ year sales and sales management career in high end computer technology solutions to Corporate America. Six years ago I decided I wanted to help those less fortunate than me and entered the world of not-for-profit as the Director of Placement Services for Goodwill Southern California. Just one month ago, I retired from The Salvation Army as a manager in their veterans employment services program. At this time, as Chair of the Los Angeles Veterans Employment Committee, I am continuing my advocacy for helping veterans gain meaningful careers.

Although my high school years were some of my most difficult, I feel fortunate for growing up in Minnesota and Edina. California has also been good to me. It is here that I met my lovely wife of 22 years and our home is two miles from Venice Beach where we enjoy good weather, gardening and friends throughout the year.

Not sure what retirement will be like but I am really looking forward to the journey! We have many things to do and places to see on our bucket list. Although I no longer play tennis, I am quickly becoming a pickle ball enthusiast with my senior friends. It is time to smell the roses…
