Tom and I were in the same Cub Scout Den and Boy Scout troop (Troop 4 at Edina Morningside Community Church). I remember attending Den meetings at his house hosted by his mother and in particular a sled party in his back yard. Tom attended summer camp at Many Point Scout Camp and was very driven in his pursuit of merit badges. I recall he was also very interested in physics during his senior year. He was a serious student and his parents were always interested in his success.
