I saw Tom once or twice after HS.  Always on the counter culture side politically and maybe culturally, he had strong passions. Tom was always mellow and accepting and kind and could make me laugh.

Tom and I were neighbors in high school.  Lots of memories, but my favorite one was when Tom taught me to get under the dashboard of the car and unhook the odometer cable.  My friends and I would drive around all night and the parents wouldn't know about it because  we never added mileage to the car.  Our families always remained close friends.  I still see his sister every couple of weeks.  Tom's memorial service was so touching.  Tom must have had a very large circle of friends cinsidering how many people were at the service.   Note to Gary Peterson:  You sat right in front of me during the service but at the time I didn't realize it was you.  Maybe I'll see you at the reunion.
