Greg Majors and I went to Sadie Hawkins together our senior year.  We had a lot of fun and he was such a great guy.  We remained friends throughout the year.  As most of us went off to college and to start our "new" lives, many of us lost contact with each other.  So it was with Greg.  I heard he was killed in a motorcycle accident.  I was sad when I heard the news.

Sue, your post about Greg brought a tear to my.  He was probably my closest friend in High School and remained so up to his death.  It was the winter of 1971 shortly after I asked him to be my best man that the accident happened.  I remember like it was yesterday, my father called me at about 0600 hours and told me I should turn on the news.  He had always wanted a high performance vehicle and had purchased a Plymouth Cuda.  Coming home from up north, he lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree.  He was D.O.A. upon arrival at the hospital.  I have always wondered why he was there, nobody knew.  Not many a month goes by that I don't think about him........

Greg and I were good friends in high school.  He and I would get together with our older brothers and play poker at our houses on Saturday nights.  I occasionally drive along Valley View Rd and each time I pass Code Avenue I look at the house where he lived and remember the good times.  I was away in the military when my mom contacted me to give me the sad news of his death.  I have never forgotten Greg.
