Jon's family and my family were close friends. When I was 7 or 8 years old I thought I would marry Jon when I grew up. He died when he was about 10 years old of leukemia.
I contacted our church, Calvary (of Cahill) Lutheran Church where we were in confirmation together. Jon died April 3, 1962, at age 13. He is buried at Fort Snelling. His parents were Clifford and Loraine Butler
